Throughout my childhood, I loved making art. However, I was not talented at drawing, painting, or anything with my hands. My friends teased me for the pieces I made in art class, which caused me to resent creativity and despised those who were exceptional at art.
Then, in my senior year of high school, everything changed. I had the courage to join an art class despite my little knowledge of art. In the beginning, I was negative about my skill. I constantly made comments on how I was not capable of completing the assignments. My teacher, Mrs. Charlton, encouraged me to stop being negative and be open to new ideas. Ever since that art class, I have loved being creative! Although I cannot draw or paint, I use my creativity through graphic design.
The summer before my freshman year I started following graphic design accounts on Instagram that posted Christian designs. I always loved the work they made and wondered what software they used. Then, I discovered Canva! Canva is a graphic design platform that can be used to make anything from social media posts to presentations for class! Canva takes a bit to learn how to navigate, hence why I am here to help you!
Throughout my posts, I will be teaching you how to create Instagram posts/reels, clothing, and lots more!
My first designs were not well made, because it takes practice.
